S. Korea, Japan to hold working-level defense talks Friday

SEOUL, Nov. 29 (Yonhap) — South Korea and Japan will hold working-level defense talks Tokyo this week to boost defense industry ties and exchange views on the security situation in Northeast Asia, the Defense Ministry said Wednesday.

The director-general-level talks, the 14th since 1994, had been delayed by about 16 months as Japan angered South Korea by laying claim to the South Korean islets of Dokdo in the East Sea.
