The Chosun Ilbo reports:

Korea Considers Lifting Tourist Limit for Dokdo

Korea’s North Gyeongsang Province is pushing for the abolition of a regulation that limits the daily number of Korean tourists to the Dokdo islets. North Gyeongsang Governor Kim Kwan-yong said he is considering opening Dokdo to an unlimited number of people who want to tour the islets in the East Sea. Kim said the move aims to give ordinary Koreans easier access to the islets, which have become a symbol of Korea’s sovereignty. Currently, a maximum 400 tourists are allowed on Dokdo per day.
